@8daniel7
The movie I enjoyed that had a brilliant twist was Shutter Island.... It caught me by complete surprise because I was not expecting the twist that Leo's character was infact a patient there..... Or was he? That's wot is brilliant about that film

I read a lot of the other comments and took multiple movies into consideration, finally came down to Shutter Island (which I did not like) and The Illusionist.
But I just remembered, FIGHT CLUB. forgot about that one, probably because the first rule is "we do not talk about fight club"

Tarkovsky's Solaris is the best Russian mystery movie. It is haunting, meditative, philosophical. The end of the film when Kris comes back "home" to find the rain falling inside the house is pure genius.

Mulholland Drive, easily. This is because in typical Lynchian style, the film builds so much tension from eerie scene to eerie scene, spanning a multitude of conflicted, zany characters and setting in place a baffling mystery, only to have each rung on the ladder turned on its head in the final third of the film. What Lynch does best however is capture and distribute the noirish feel of the film, due in large part to the shadowy tones of Hollywood, where lurking around every narrative (or restaurant) corner lies a bafflingly complex, but remarkably astounding twist in this memorable tale.
