Blu-ray Monday: This Means War

By | June 25th, 2012 | Tags: , , , , , , , , | 67 Comments

This week we’re giving you the chance to take home a copy of This Means War on Blu-ray.

Chris Pine and Tom Hardy star as two of the world’s deadliest CIA operatives. Inseparable partners and best friends, the pair finally come unstuck when they fall for the same girl (Reese Witherspoon) and find themselves using their skills and high-tech gadgetry against each other to win her affections. Action, romance and plenty of adrenaline fuelled fight scenes await you in the hilarious adventure which packs a serious punch.

As usual with Blu-ray Monday, you have two chances to win. For your first entry hit the tweet button at the top of this post. Then for a second entry, leave a comment on this post in response to the following question:

This Means War sees two of the big screen’s hottest properties, Pine and Hardy, going head to head for one girl. So this week, we’d like to know which two movie stars you’d like to fight it out for your affections or what your favourite love triangle from a film is and why? Would you like brothers Chris and Liam Hemsworth to battle each other for your hand? Maybe you’d like it if Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman could join forces once more and compete for your affections? Do you think Colin Firth, Hugh Grant and Renée Zellweger take the top spot for best love triangle in Bridget Jones Diary or perhaps you think Josh Hartnett, Ben Affleck and Kate Beckinsale in Pearl Harbour are more convincing? Either way, let us know for your chance to win!

To make it easier for us to contact you, leave your Twitter details with your comment. We look forward to your suggestions!

Kooky comedy where Zooey Deschanel and Natalie Portman fight over a guy? Yes please! Deschanel is the Queen of Quirk and Portman’s appearance in No Strings Attached showed that she can do comedy as well.

Would be awesome! And fair play to the guy involved…

  3. Raul says:

I would definitely love for Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman to fight over me. A dream come true!

The only love triangle movie I can think of is “There’s Something about Mary”. Does that count? If it does, I liked it because it’s funny. One pretty girl, and a bunch of psychos fall for her.

Bridget Jones’ Diary is a really good ‘love triangle’ movie that comes to mind I particularly love the blogging that Renee Zellweger does and how all her true thoughts and feelings are expressed, more recently Twilight Saga: Eclipse I enjoyed very much, it has a bit if everything in it which all leads back to the love the two lads have for Bella.

I would love to be in between a tug of love with Cameron Diaz and Sandra Bullock, mainly because they are my kind of girls, hot but a bit silly as well. Love them!!!

  15. moviefan says:

For most moving love triangle I would nominate Never Let Me Go with Carey Mulligan, Andrew Garfield and Keira Knightley, which was so poignant because their time was so limited.

Jennifer Aniston and Angelina’ Jolie can fight over me any day.

Personally I wouldn’t mind having Ian Somerhalder and Leo DiCaprio fighting it out for my affections. Not that Leo would ever be in a romantic comedy! Phwoar factor: off the chart!
    @FunkieFrog

  29. Anita says:

I’d have to say I liked the love triangle of Andie, Duckie and Blane (Molly Ringwald, Jon Cryer, Andrew McCarthy) from “Pretty in Pink.” It’s the classic triangle: poor girl, her best friend/love interest, also poor, rich guy. Advantages of going with the rich guy, advantages of being with the guy she’s known all her life and possibly really is in love with and doesn’t know it. I know the test audiences didn’t like the original ending (Andie NOT ending up with Blane) so once the film was released, Andie did end up with Blane, which I guess means people thought the cliche’d Hollywood ending was more desirable.

Hmm, I’ll go with that old movie Threesome, which is sort of a weird trio, even if they do all end up getting together.

Scarlett Johansen and Anne Hathaway, this would be a battle of Comic book proportions. Marvel meets DC, Black Widow versus Cat Woman.
I don’t mind either way who wins, maybe it could be a draw. I wouldn’t mind to have them share me on a Dark Night.
