Nearly 30 years after he first exploded onto the screen, Scarface is back. The classic De Palma gangster flick has been re-mastered with high-definition picture and 7.1 audio, and will be available on Blu-ray Disc from September 6th.

“Now, for the first time ever, fans of this jewel in the Universal crown can enjoy Scarface with the spectacular picture and sound quality that only Blu-ray provides,” said Craig Kornblau, President of Universal Studios Home Entertainment.

Bonus features include ‘The Rebirth’, in which Director Brian De Palma, writer Oliver Stone and Al Pacino revisit the history of Scarface, ‘The Acting’, which shows how each of the roles was cast and how De Palma worked with his actors to get unforgettable performances, brand new documentary ‘The Scarface Phenomenon’ and featurette ‘The World of Tony Montana’.

With a whole host of other extras too, as well as many ‘U Control’ features exclusive to the Blu-ray Disc, Scarface is shaping up to be one of the most popular and eagerly awaited Blu-ray releases of the year.
